Balance is Qi in partnership with Australian Reiki Connection is offering Reiki as part of a research program for anyone eligible under the care of a medical physician. Currently this is only available for physical medical health concerns. The aim of the research program is to measure the benefits of Reiki treatments on physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing in individuals experiencing physical health conditions. While the study is focused on physical medical issues, we recognise that emotional or mental distress often accompanies physical illness—whether as an underlying contributing factor or as a response to living with the condition. These emotional and mental aspects will be measured as part of the study. However, this program is not intended for individuals whose primary concern is a mental health condition such as depression, in the absence of a physical illness.

Additionally, the study seeks to determine whether there is an optimal number of Reiki sessions that leads to significant improvement in overall wellbeing across different physical medical conditions.

As part of this program, clients would need to commit to the Reiki Research Program plan. The program is tailored dependent on the medical condition and run over 3-6 weeks. Each program will have a set number of Reiki sessions designed to best support the medical condition. Slight modifications might need to be made depending on the results throughout the program.​

We will let you know if you have been successful and for the timeframes available. If we have a full program, we may be able to add you to the next list. If accepted under this program, we will arrange for a phone consultation to go through the relevant information before any final commitment. Whilst we would love to accept everyone, we only have capacity to take on a certain number of participants.

Please note this is not in replacement of any medical care you are currently undertaking. You must still be in the care of a physician. If at any point during the research program your circumstances change, or your medical concerns change we can at any time terminate the program. All Reiki treatments under this program are free of charge.

 

With the final research data, no personal information (name, contact details etc) will be disclosed. For research purposes, only the medical condition and treatment progress will be recorded. Reiki treatments will be given by a trained Reiki practitioner working with Shadi Kennedy principle of Balance is Qi.
