Schumann Resonance and Electromagnetic Healing

Updated: Aug 6, 2023

How Reiki vibrates to allow the bodies natural healing to be activated!

The earth’s magnetic field, known as Schumann Resonance and Reiki have a connection.

So what is the Schumann Resonance? Named after physicist Winfried Otto Schumann. The

Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, generated and excited by lightning discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth's surface and the ionosphere. Having an ectromagnetic spectrum from 3 Hz through 60 Hz.

How is it connected to Reiki?

Not only are there synchronization of the brain wave patterns but they also pulse in unison with the earth’s magnetic field.

There is a large pulsating bio magnetic field emitted from the hands of energy practitioners at least 1000 times greater than normal. This link allows the practitioner to draw on a “universal energy field” via that Schumann Resonance.

And that links us to a quantum physics view in which everything is connected and referred as a “living universe” or “living web of interdependence” which supports the “oneness” or “expanded Consciousness”. Which has also been the experience from people who receive a Reiki treatment.

As established the same brains waves mentioned earlier are in the frequency range of 0.3-30Hz which stimulates healing of the body as well.

Medical research has found the following frequencies to have these healing effects:

  • 1-8Hz produces an Alpha State

  • 2Hz would encourage nerve regeneration

  • 7 Hz bone regeneration

  • 10Hz ligament mending

  • 15Hz capillary formation

Currently many physiotherapy equipment’s are based on these principles and designed to aid soft tissue regeneration. As well as ultrasound technology that is commonly used for clearing clogged arteries and disintegrate kidney stones.

For many years/decades, placing an electrical coil around a fracture that refuses to mend will stimulate bone growth and repair, PEMF (Pulse Electro Magnetic Field) Therapy being a prime example.

Dr. Robert Becker, the father of electromedicine further explains that “brain waves” are not confined to the brain but travel throughout the body by the perineural system; the sheaths of connective tissue surrounding all nerves. During treatment, these waves begin as relatively weak pulses in the thalamus of the practitioner’s brain and gather cumulative strength as they flow to the peripheral nerves of the body including the hands. The same effect is mirrored in the person receiving treatment, and he suggests that it is this system more than any other, that regulates injury repair and system rebalance.

This highlights one of the special features of Reiki, that both practitioner and client receive the benefits of a treatment, which makes it very efficient.

It is also noteworthy to mention that Dr. Becker did this study world-wide, cross-cultural, different belief systems or customs, all subjects tested the same.
